Machine Quilting Services Now Available
Mountain Valley Quilt Shop has now added a Gammill Statler Stitcher precision computer controlled longarm quilting machine. We can now precision quilt your favorite quilt top in our La Veta shop.
We have numerous basic edge to edge quilting patterns for you to choose from. We will also have batting available and basic thread colors available. One-piece Backing material can also be purchased at the shop for an additional charge.
The basic charge will be 2 cents per square inch to have your quilt top machine quilted. To figure the base cost:
Measure the length of your quilt ________
Measure the width of your quilt _________
Length X Width = ______square inches
______ square inches X .02 = the basic fee
Batting, backing and thread will be an additional charge if you do not provide your own. One-piece backing is preferred. $50 will be the minimum charge and a $50 deposit.
Quilt Preparation
Machine quilting will not correct excess material in borders and blocks.
We can not correct tops that have ripples or uneven borders. Make sure the quilt is flat, square, pressed and free of excess threading. Please remove all pet hair as well. You must leave 4-6 inches extra material on each side for the batting and backing.
You are welcome to bring your quilt top to the shop for an estimate!
